Starting in August 2027, we’re offering Informatics Middle School (IMS) graduates an exciting, hands-on internship in a dynamic, growth-driven environment

The internship emphasizes self-directed learning and practical, hands-on experience, requiring strong interest in the subject matter and personal initiative.

Digio AG

Digio AG develops distributed and web-based applications for a diverse range of clients using cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.

From consulting and conception to design, development, testing, and deployment of custom solutions, Digio AG covers all essential disciplines in-house to meet complex client demands.

We also provide comprehensive services in Cyber Security, including analysis, consulting, implementation, and training.

For over six years, Digio AG has been committed to training and supporting young professionals, offering numerous IMS interns a solid and successful entry into the workforce.

Digio AG employees also serve as instructors at the Zurich ICT Training Association (ZLI) and as examiners at the Examination Commission 19 (Pk19), providing an excellent foundation for solid IMS intern training.

The organization ICT Vocational Training Switzerland has recognized Digio AG multiple times as a top ICT trainer, awarding it the ICT Education & Training Award at the ICT Award Night 2023. Additionally, Digio AG received the ICT Education Excellence Award at the Digital Economy Award Night 2023.

Your Internship

Drawing from years of experience, we’ve structured the one-year internship into five progressive phases, designed to provide hands-on, progressive training for IMS interns from the start through to the final project (IPA). The internship runs from August 1, 2027, to July 31, 2028 (+/- 2 weeks) and includes the following phases:

August

Onboarding

First, you'll have time to settle into your new workplace and get to know your colleagues. In an onboarding meeting, we’ll define your internship goals to structure your learning path effectively.

September

Participation in Client Projects

From the start, you’ll be involved in real client projects across various disciplines (including client interactions) to gain practical experience.

2028

January

Independent (Internal) Project

Under active supervision, you’ll have the freedom to make decisions and shape the project, preparing you for your final project (IPA).

May

Individual Practical Assignment (IPA)

All Digio AG employees have completed and supervised IPAs. We’ll prepare you thoroughly for this key part of your internship.

June

Taking Responsibility in a Client Project

You’ll take full responsibility for a (sub-)project with a client. Your mentors will be there to support you with advice and guidance.

  • Logical and abstract thinking skills with quick comprehension
  • High sense of responsibility and reliability
  • Initiative, precision, and the ability to work independently
  • A natural flair for technology
  • Perseverance, even when tasks are challenging
  • A passion for learning beyond the basics
  • Good to excellent grades in computer science and mathematics, with strong abstract and analytical thinking
  • Interest and commitment beyond school (clubs, personal projects, etc.)
